We warmly invite original papers, demos, art and design works in all areas of entertainment computing and design including (but not limited to):
Augmented / Mixed Reality
Avatars and Virtual Community
Digital Entertainment and Sports
Entertainment Design Theory
Internet Networking Media
Learning and Children
Narratives / Digital Storytelling
New Gaming Audiences
Pervasive and Online Games
Smart Gadgets and Toys
Sound and Music
In 2008 ACE will have anew format which is three
main tracks/themes for the papers and creative showcase / demos.
These tracks are: technical, design, and theory/social aspects of
entertainment computing. Submissions can be in any one of the three
main areas. If you work crosses the themes then please select the
main theme of the work.
Original unpublished technical, design, and theory/social impact papers up to 8 pages are invited.
Original unpublished technical, design, and theory/social impact papers up to 4 pages are invited. The program committee may also suggest submitted long papers be resubmitted as short papers.
Breakthroughs in technical research, content design, industry applications, and entertainment theories/social impact researches are invited. We welcome "interactive" posters.
Creative Showcase (Technical demos
& Design/Art galleries)
Creative Showcase will comprise of the following 3 categories:
Technology showcase: prototype demos of advanced entertainment technology
Design Showcase: interactive art and design works
Theory/Social Impact Showcase: works based on illusion
Best Papers and Creative Showcase Awards will honor authors of the most distinguished contributions.
*Please note all works must be strongly related to computer entertainment.
**Videos which accompany the papers or demos or posters are strongly encouraged and will be published on CD/DVD as part of the conference kit.
